MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–Earlier today, American Red Cross volunteers provided assistance to a family whose
home on Old Black Oak Road in Moncks Corner was destroyed by fire.
Whitesville Fire Department handled the blaze. The Red Cross provided financial aid for lodging, food and clothing as well as comfort kits containing personal hygiene items, to two adults and one infant.
Referrals to partnering agencies were also provided to help with the family’s long-term recovery.
Since January 1st, the American Red Cross Palmetto SC Region has helped more than 1,300 individuals affected by disasters.
