BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–On Tuesday, the Berkeley Co. School District cancelled classes as a precautionary measure under the advisement of the National Weather Service and the Berkeley County Emergency Operations Center.

Due to the cancellation of school, the Berkeley County School District must make up the school day.

There are two remaining dates allocated as inclement weather make up days: Friday, March 20th, or Monday, April, 6th.

Details of the two options are as follows:

  • OPTION 1: Friday, March 20th is designated as a Teacher Work Day. Under this option, March 20th would become a regular schedule school day and the Teacher Work Day would be rescheduled for April 6th, 2015.
  • OPTION 2: Monday, April 6th falls as the last day of the 2015 Spring Break Under this option, Spring Break would be changed to Monday, March 30th, 2015 to Sunday, April 5th, 2015 with April 6th (Monday) being a regular school day.

In an effort to best serve the community, the District would like to receive your feedback on which option you prefer: Option 1 or Option 2.
