mad hatterOn Saturday, April 18th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, tri-county families are invited to put on their prettiest or silliest hats, enjoy the beauty of Magnolia Gardens, and remember the importance of play time together.

Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester County First Steps are wrapping up Week of the Young Child™ with a family friendly Mad Hatter Tea Party. Sponsored by First Citizens, Magnolia Gardens, South State Bank, Target, and the tri-county’s three First Steps offices, tickets for this family event are only $20 for Adults, $15 for children ages 6-12, and $5 for children under 6. Tickets can be purchased on Magnolia Plantation and Gardens’ website (http://www.magnoliaplantation.com/first_steps_mad_hatter_tea_party.html). Tickets are limited and are expected to sell out.

“Because children’s imaginations and potential knows no boundaries, the Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester First Steps offices have joined together to connect families from across the region for this special event and to remind everyone of the importance of high quality early education in the tri-county area,” said Julie Hussey, SC First Steps Board Vice Chairman. First Steps is South Carolina’s commitment to preparing children 0-5 for a life of opportunity and advancement, ensuring that every child arrives at kindergarten ready to learn.
