MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–According to school district officials, Berkeley High School has been evacuated as a precautionary measure due to a reported bomb threat.

To efficiently inspect the campus, officials says law enforcement officers advised the school to dismiss early at 12:50 p.m.

Students who are normally transported home in the afternoons by bus will be driven as normal.

All students are safe and no incident has happened on campus, school leaders say.

They added that the “Berkeley County School District considers the safety of its students and staff as its number one priority.”
