BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Ladson Tuesday night.
Authorities say the victim was discovered on Frank Jones Road just off College Park Road in Ladson around 9:30 p.m.
When deputies arrived on the scene they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound.
“Our Office has had a team of detectives working around the clock to find out exactly what happened last night and give closure to the victim’s family,” said Sheriff Duane Lewis. “At this time, we are going through forensic evidence that was collected at the scene and investigating leads to determine the events that transpired. Our Office will provide additional details on the investigation, as they become available.”
Bill Salisbury with the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office arrived on the scene shortly after.
The coroner has identified the victim as 27-year-old Donald Timothy Lloyd, Jr. of Ladson
It’s not known at this time what may have led to the shooting.
