GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–During the early morning hours of August 24, 2015, several suspects were captured on home surveillance video tampering with and removing items from motor vehicles in the Hayden Ponds Subdivision, police say.

On Monday shortly after 8 a.m., police say they responded to a home on Pagoda Tree Drive in reference to someone tampering with a motor vehicle.

According to police, the victim says after getting into his vehicle, he noticed several items were missing. The victim told police he went back inside his house and reviewed his surveillance video.

The video reportedly showed that at approximately 1:33 a.m., two men were walking down Pagoda Tree Drive from Trumpet Tree Drive.

Officers say the video shows the men continuing down the street until one of them placed a drink can in the grass across the street from a home on Pagoda Tree Drive.

That man then crossed the street into the front yard of that home where he was joined by a second man.

The two men then opened the door to victim’s vehicle and began to look inside of the door, the glove box, and overhead compartment of the vehicle. They then closed the vehicle door and continued walking down Pagoda Tree Drive, police stated.

Shortly after 4:00 p.m. the same day, police say they responded to another home on Pagoda Tree in reference to a theft from a motor vehicle.

According to police, the homeowner stated someone entered his Toyota 4Runner and took a 40 caliber ammunition snake round from inside his truck.

The homeowner then told police that another individual entered his Toyota Sonic but did not take anything.

Home security cameras captured this break-in  as well, police say.

Police attempted to collect DNA from both locations and say the two cases are under investigation. Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111 or our Crime Tip Line at (843) 863-5210.
