BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley County officials, all government buildings will be closed Monday. They say only essential county employees will report to work.
All courts in Berkeley County will also be closed on Monday. Jurors do not need to report to duty.
As a reminder, Berkeley County public schools will also be closed due to the weather.
A flash flood warning remains in effect for the area until 4:45 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
While the rain has lightened up considerably in most of the area, additional showers are expected through Sunday afternoon and into the evening.
The NWS reports that a runoff from previous rains are expected to cause further flooding near, creeks, ponds and culverts that overflow.
Shelter for Short Stay and Overton residents has currently been established at Berkeley Middle School. Evacuation route: exit area and take Highway 52 to the school.
Two additional shelters have also been established at Berkeley Middle School and Westview Middle School.

– Tall Pines Road from Loblolly Circle to Labrador Drive
– US 17A at Wadboo Swamp
– US 17A from Gants Road to Cypress Gardens Road
– US 52 from Cypress Gardens Road o Oakley Road
– Oxford Road at the Bridge
