HANAHAN, S.C.–On May 18, 2016, Daimere George was found floating in a swimming pool at an apartment complex in Hanahan, stated Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
The coroner said that the pool was not open at the time.
The child was transported to MUSC Hospital in Charleston in critical condition. After a one week stay in the hospital, Daimere was pronounced dead on May 25 at 5:15 p.m.
An autopsy is being conducted and the case is being investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner, and Hanahan Police Dept.
Salisbury stated that the child was only three-years-old.
