BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler addressed over 300 business and community leaders at Googlefest 2016 at Trident Technical College Wednesday morning.

During the opening remarks at the fourth annual Googlefest event, Supervisor Peagler highlighted the recent economic development success had by Berkeley County over the past 18 months that total over $1.1 billion in new investment announcements and over 4,100 new jobs announced.

Supervisor Peagler spoke of the important partnerships the County has established to achieve the recent successes, including the partnerships with Google, Trident Technical College, the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce and others.

And, Supervisor Peagler also stressed how Berkeley County Government has become more efficient – providing better services without raising taxes.

He concluded his remarks with his motto for the county, “Berkeley County is open for business, and Berkeley County means business.”
