BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Due to the forecast of heavy rain and winds, resulting from Tropical Storm Hermine, Berkeley County School District has cancelled classes and closed offices for tomorrow, Friday, September 2, 2016.
District officials say they made this decision after consulting with staff at the Berkeley County Emergency Preparedness Center and receiving updated weather advisories from the National Weather Service.
“As safety and security is our number one priority, we take every precaution to ensure that our students, faculty and staff are safe,” district officials stated.
The district’s regular class schedule will resume on Tuesday, September 6, 2016.
