Janie Langley Named Interim Principal Of Cane Bay High School

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Janie Langley has been named as the interim principal of Cane Bay High School in Summerville, South Carolina.

Langley has been supporting the Cane Bay High administrative team since school opened in August after former Cane Bay High Principal Dr. Lee Westberry was named the Executive Director of Secondary Programs in July.

Langley will serve as the interim principal until a new principal is named for the school.

“I am excited to continue working with the Cane Bay Cobras and this community,” said Janie Langley. “The administrators, staff, students and parents at Cane Bay High are committed to success, and I appreciate the opportunity to share my experience with them as we work to achieve all of our academic goals.”

Langley is a former Berkeley County principal with over forty years of experience as an educator. She has a proven track record as a high performing administrator and will lead the Cane Bay team as they remain focused on providing an exceptional educational experience in a safe school environment for every student. 

BCSD will continue its search for a permanent principal for the Cobras. The position will remain open until filled.
