BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis and Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler announced this afternoon that a curfew will again be in place starting at midnight and running until 6:00 AM on Sunday, October 9, 2016.

“This curfew is being taken out of concern for the safety of residents during the storm,” said Peagler.

All Berkeley County municipalities (Bonneau, Charleston, Goose Creek, Hanahan, Jamestown, Moncks Corner and St. Stephen) will also be enforcing this curfew.

Berkeley County will assess the need of additional curfews during the storm and announce such curfews if they are needed.
