BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–A forum for the candidates for Berkeley County School Board will be held on October 13, 2016 at Trident Baptist Church in Goose Creek at 7:00 p.m.
Event organizers say Ray Nash, former sheriff of Dorchester County, will serve as the forum’s moderator.
The forum will provide an opportunity for the citizens of Berkeley County to meet and ask questions of the candidates for school board, organizers stated.
The candidates are:
- District 1: Mr. Michael Ramsey in unopposed.
- District 3: Mr. Timothy Davis and Mrs. Laura Kelly
- District 5: Mr. Brian Adams and Mr. David Barrow
- District 7: Rev. Julius Barnes and Mr. Kelly Spann
- District 9: Ms. Louise Ann Conder and Mr. Jim Hayes
Organizers say Kelly Spann and Julius Barnes have declined the invitation to participate in the forum. There will no one from District 7 participating. Brian Adams will not be participating due to the death of his Grandmother.
