Goose Creek Mayor’s History Lectures Begin Thursday, Oct. 13

GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler’s popular historical lecture series begins Thursday, Oct. 13. The lectures were postponed one week due to Hurricane Matthew.

The free lecture series – “Goose Creek Backyard History” – will be held at City Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. every Thursday, Oct. 13 through Nov. 17. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Mayor Heitzler has authored five history books and 14 historical booklets and articles. He has researched Goose Creek history for decades, and his presentations are filled with stories of the men and women who, across the centuries, helped shape a city and region.
