Deputies: Moncks Corner Man Accused Of Stealing Trailer Behind Bars

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–A Moncks Corner man is behind bars and charged with stealing a trailer  from a home in the Stoney Landing subdivision.

According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, video actually captured a green Ford Expedition towing  the stolen trailer on Old Highway 52 on Monday.

“A photo of this Expedition and trailer was posted on the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Facebook page and this posting resulted in a lot of valuable tips coming in,” read a post on BCSO’s Facebook page.

After working the leads, detectives say they were able to locate the trailer at the Fast Money Pawn Shop in the Summerville area.

As a result of the investigation, all of the items from inside of the trailer were located and recovered.

James Clifton Dunahoe, 31, of Levee Drive in Moncks Corner has been charged with Obtaining Money by False Pretense and Receiving stolen goods over $2,000 but under $10,000 (property crime enhancement).

Sheriff Lewis stated, “We wanted to thank the members of the community that helped in this recovery. The feedback we get from y’all is outstanding and appreciated. Working together, we can continue to make Berkeley County a great place to live, work and play.”
