BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Berkeley County School District high schools will dismiss students one hour early due to the potential for severe weather.
“As safety and security is our number one priority, officials will continue to monitor the storm to determine the potential impact on our schools,” stated BCSD spokesperson, Katie Orvin.
Additionally, all after school activities canceled today and will be rescheduled if possible BCSD officials stated. BCSD elementary and middle schools have already been dismissed due to a previously scheduled early release day.
Orvin say BCSD officials are working in partnership with the Berkeley County Emergency Preparedness Department and will receive regular updates regarding the weather from the National Weather Service.
