BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Agents of the S.C. Law Enforcement Division have filed additional charges against a St. Stephen man who was wounded in a March 2nd confrontation with deputies of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office in which one deputy was shot and wounded.
Calvin Lorenzo Middleton, III, 36, has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Middleton was previously charged with three counts of attempted murder.
Middleton was booked on the additional charges at the Charleston County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
