Goose Creek Mayor Declares Aug.10-16 ‘Knights of Columbus Family Week’

GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler has proclaimed Aug. 10-16, 2015 “Knights of Columbus Family Week” in the City.

Heitzler signed the proclamation with several Knights of Columbus members on Monday morning at City Hall.

According to the Proclamation, Family Week is a time that the Knights of Columbus “commemorate both the birth and death of our revered Founder Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney.”

The week will see the Knights “recommit ourselves to the ideals that provide opportunities for families,” and spread the message of the importance of family in the community.

The Knights of Columbus, the largest Catholic fraternal organization, includes over 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members worldwide.
