BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.– Wayback Burgers, serving delicious, fresh, never frozen burgers and hand-dipped milkshakes amidst an atmosphere reminiscent of a hometown burger joint, today announced that the official grand opening burger bash for its Summerville restaurant, located at 618 Bacons Bridge Road, and its Goose Creek restaurant, located at 1741 Red Bank Road (near the Navy Exchange), will take place Friday, December 11 – Sunday, December 13.
To celebrate the openings, both Wayback Burgers locations will offer a FREE Wayback Classic Cheeseburger with the purchase of a combo meal all weekend long.
In addition, each restaurant will donate a percentage of proceeds from sales on Saturday, December 12 to MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, dedicated to enhancing the health of children throughout South Carolina, and to providing an environment that supports excellence in pediatric patient care, teaching and research.
Wayback Burgers of Goose Creek will also make a donation to the USS Yorktown Foundation, helping to keep Naval history alive in Charleston, SC, for every USS Yorktown Burger sold, a specialty breakfast burger exclusive to the location.

A ribbon cutting ceremony with the Summerville Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Bill Collins will be held on Friday, December 11 at 11:00AM to mark the official grand opening of Wayback Burgers of Summerville.
Other weekend specials and events include a Triple Triple Challenge at both locations on Saturday, December 12 at 1:00PM, where guests compete to be the fastest person to take down the brand’s
iconic Triple Triple Burger, a nine-patty burger complete with nine cheese slices, topped with lettuce and tomato, a variety of family-friendly activities and the opportunity to register for the chance to win free Wayback Burgers for a year.
Wayback Burgers offers hand-made burgers, cooked to order, available as a single, classic double, triple and triple triple (nine) patty, and rich, thick milkshakes made the old-fashioned way by hand, using only fresh milk and hand-dipped ice cream, served in an environment that hearkens back to a simpler place and time – when “customer service” meant something and everyone felt the warmth of the community.
