BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Sheriff Duane Lewis announced that Lt. Annie Jackson has been promoted to Captain of Community Outreach. “Having Captain Jackson be part of my leadership team is a great fit. In Captain Jackson’s new role, she will oversee the Community Relations Division of the Sheriff’s Office to include supervising our Community Action Team and our School Resource Officer Program.

Captain Jackson stated, “It gives me great pride to be able to work for the citizens of Berkeley County. While I loved the duties I had as a lieutenant, being captain over an additional function while still being able to engage the youth is a true blessing”.
