7 Shelters To Open In Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley County officials, there will be seven shelters in Berkeley County opening at 3 p.m. today – Wednesday, October 5th.

The shelter locations in Berkeley County are as follows:

SPECIAL MEDICAL NEEDS SHELTER:

  • Westview Primary – 98 Westview Boulevard, Goose Creek, SC
    * This special medical needs shelter are for individuals who must an attendant with them. *

ADDITIONAL SHELTERS

  • Westview Middle – 101 Westview Boulevard, Goose Creek, SC
  • Berkeley Elementary – 715 Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC
  • Cross High School – 1293 Old Highway 6, Cross, SC
  • St. Stephen Elementary – 1053 Russellville Road, St. Stephen, SC
  • Cainhoy Elementary – 2434 Cainhoy Road, Huger, SC

ANIMAL-FRIENDLY SHELTER

  • Cane Bay High – 1624 State Road, Summerville, SC
    * Animals must be caged. *

NOTE: The time of shelter opening at Berkeley Middle School (located at 320 North Live Oak Drive) will be announced later. It is not expected to open at 3 PM.
