Tri-County FOP Lodge #3 Receives $23,000 to Help Local Officers

Provided

HANAHAN, S.C.–This week the Travis Manion Foundation’s 9/11 Heroes Run – Charleston presented a check for more than $23,000 to the Fraternal Order of Police Tri-County Lodge #3 Distressed Officers Fund, during their regular monthly FOP meeting.

Tri-County FOP Lodge #3 Distressed Officers Fund was the local beneficiary of proceeds raised from the 7th annual 9/11 Heroes Run – Charleston which was held last September on Daniel Island.

These proceeds will be used for purchasing life-saving Tac Med Kits for officers from more than 20 local law enforcement agencies.

Once the kits arrive, there will be an additional presentation scheduled to hand the kits out to local law enforcement agencies, for disbursement to their officers.

The 8th annual 9/11 Heroes Run – Charleston is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th on Daniel Island.

The race will unite the community to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11, as well as to honor our veterans, military, and first responders who serve our country and our communities.

Proceeds from the 8th annual 9/11 Heroes Run – Charleston will again benefit the Travis Manion Foundation and local first responders.
