2 Workers Suffer Burns At Moncks Corner Plant

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Two workers suffered burns at a Moncks Corner plant Wednesday morning, according to first responders at the scene.

They were reportedly burned around 9:20 a.m. by an unknown polymer at Dak Americas LLC., which is located at 3350 Cypress Gardens Rd.

One of the employees was airlifted to MUSC while the other was taken there by ambulance, WCBD-TV reported. The extent of their injuries were not immediately made available.

Emergency crews with the Pimlico Fire Department, Goose Creek Rural Fire Department, Goose Creek City Fire Department, Moncks Corner and Whitesville Fire Departments as well as Berkeley County EMS responded to the scene.
