The restaurant is the brain child of Celebrity Executive Chef Carlos Brown. The Moncks Corner restaurant is now his second in the Lowcountry. The original Shrimp & Grits Café is located inside Citadel Mall in West Ashley.

“There’s a lot of places that the franchise is going, but Moncks Corner, there’s something special about this place, and we came here without any bank. We got our money in our own pockets. We have no loans,” Chef Brown told the crowd during the grand opening.
