BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – To celebrate its 50th year in business, one popular restaurant chain known for its Louisiana-style chicken is selling it for 59 cents – but for a limited time only.
Popeyes is offering a throwback deal on its famous fried chicken. From June 12 to June 19, customers can snag two pieces of the restaurant’s signature bone-in chicken for under a buck.
There are two Popeyes restaurants in Berkeley County:
- 460 N U.S. Hwy 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461
- 135 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445
To get the discounted chicken deal, customers need to first make a $5 minimum mobile order on either the Popeyes app or Popeyes.com.
In 1972, Alvin C. Copeland Sr. opened “Chicken on the Run” in the New Orleans suburb of Arabi, serving traditional Southern-fried chicken.
