Coroner ID’s 14-Year-Old Goose Creek Girl Killed In I-26 Crash

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office has identified the person killed in a single-car collision Sunday on I-26.

Coroner Paul Brouthers said Jocelyn Beltran, 14, of Goose Creek was a passenger in a Chevrolet Suburban that crashed in a wooded area of I-26, near the 182-mile marker (eastbound) at approximately 7:24 p.m.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner at 8:55 p.m.

The body is scheduled to undergo an autopsy this Friday at the Medical University of South Carolina, Brouthers said.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
