20 Arrested In Berkeley County Crime Sweep: BCSO

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office lead a multi-agency warrant and crime sweep Thursday evening. The sweep focused on priority warrants and conducted heavy traffic saturations in the Goose Creek, Huger and Summerville areas.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), Goose Creek Police Department, South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services (SC PPP) and South Carolina Highway
Patrol (SCHP).

“We conduct these sweeps in hopes to catch as many people as we can to clean up our streets and give citizens the community they deserve.” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis stated. “The saturations do have an impact on decreasing crime, and we will continue the efforts as long as we have issues.”

During the sweep, law enforcement officials made 20 arrests. During the traffic saturation, 105 citations were issued and 123 warnings were issued.

The following arrests were made during the warrant and crime sweep:

  • Crystal Williams: Possession of Crack
  • Richard Randolph II: Assault and Battery 3rd; Evading Arrest
  • Holly Jennings: Bench Warrant
  • Nicholas Tyler Jordan: Bench Warrant for Driving under Suspension, second offense
  • Elizabeth Snedegar: Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Ignacia Baena: Trafficking Methamphetamine; Unlawful Carry of a Firearm
  • Omero Perez: Bench Warrant for Domestic Violence, 2nd
  • Shelia Heiden: Bench Warrant for Malicious Injury to Private Property
  • Traiquan Horry: Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana; Unlawful Carry of a Firearm
  • Cory Jackson: Driving under the Influence; Child Endangerment
  • Derian J. Clark: Driving under Suspension, 3rd offense; Expired Tags; Habitual Traffic Offender; Evading Arrest
  • Jesse A. Weiland: Bench Warrant for Breach of Trust
  • Joshua Lockwood: Possession of MDMA
  • Marquez Milligan: Bench Warrant for Domestic Violence 3rd
  • Urisar Lopez: Driving under the Influence
  • Brandon Scarborough: Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana
  • Deshay Franklin: Bench Warrant (x2) from York County
  • Daniel Myers: Possession of Stolen Firearm; Unlawful Carry; Possession of Firearm by Prohibited Person
  • Jeremy Mack: Possession of Cocaine; Escape
  • Michael Boone: Bench Warrant for Malicious Injury to Private Property
