
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – If you’re hitting the road in the Goose Creek and Hanahan area next week, be prepared to slow down and steer around some fresh pavement.
From Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 9, Berkeley County officials said construction crews will be out in force between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. to resurface several local roadways as part of two major infrastructure projects.
🚗 Roads Getting a Facelift:
- Queensbury Circle – Goose Creek
- Knottingham Drive – Goose Creek
- Dresden Drive – Goose Creek
- Brighton Court – Goose Creek
- Foster Creek Road/Tanner Ford Boulevard – Hanahan

Expect lane closures and flagging operations in these areas, but don’t worry — at least one lane of traffic will remain open at all times. Flagger teams will be on hand to help direct traffic and assist residents with getting in and out of driveways safely.

- Do not park on the street during construction hours
- Follow all posted signs and digital message boards
- Plan for potential delays or detours
- Bad weather could shift the schedule
This work is part of the 2024 Berkeley County One Cent Sales Tax Resurfacing Project and the 2024 American Rescue Plan Act Local Roads Resurfacing Project, which together aim to improve the driving experience and extend the life of our roads.
