🏛️ Government Offices & Services
- Berkeley County Government Offices: Closed in observance of Memorial Day.
- Berkeley County Courthouse: No court sessions will be held.
- Berkeley County Library System: All branches will be closed.
- Berkeley County Water & Sanitation: Landfill and all convenience centers will be closed.
- City of Goose Creek Offices: Closed for the holiday.
- City of Hanahan Offices: Closed for the holiday.
- Town of Bonneau Offices: Closed for the holiday.
- Town of St. Stephen Offices: Closed for the holiday.
- Town of Moncks Corner Offices: Closed in observance of Memorial Day.

🗑️ Trash & Recycling Collection
- Moncks Corner: Monday pick up will take place on Tuesday. Tuesday pickup occurs on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday
- pickup are regular schedule.
- City of Goose Creek: No trash pickup on the holiday. It will resume the following day.
- Daniel Island/Cainhoy: Trash collection will be delayed by one day. Monday routes will be serviced on Tuesday, and so forth.
- City of Hanahan: All yard debris will be collected on Tuesday, May 27th. If your household garbage is collected on Tuesdays, it will move to Wednesday, May 28th for this week. Regular household garbage will remain on normal schedule for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
🌳 Parks & Recreation
- Cypress Gardens: Open to visitors on Memorial Day.
- Old Santee Canal Park: Open to visitors for the holiday.
- Overton Beach Park: Open to visitors on Memorial Day. (FYI: This day is usually one of the busiest days at the beach. Plan accordingly)
🛍️ Retail & Grocery Stores
Most major retailers, including Walmart, Target, and local grocery stores, will operate on regular hours. However, it’s advisable to check with individual stores for any special holiday hours.
🚗 DMV & State Offices
- South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV): All offices will be closed.
📬 U.S. Postal Mail
Postal service facilities in South Carolina will be closed for retail transactions on Monday, May 26, 2025. There will be no residential or business deliveries. Although there will be no regular mail service, Priority Mail Express is delivered 365 days a year and will be delivered on Memorial Day. Normal delivery and collection schedules will resume Tuesday, May 27, 2024. Please note:
