MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – The Moncks Corner Police Department will host its second annual community car show on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Moncks Corner Recreation Complex, 418 E. Main Street.
The event, open to cars, motorcycles, jeeps and trucks, will feature classic and modern vehicles. Entry for participants is $20, cash only, while admission is free for spectators. In case of rain, the show will be held Sunday, Oct. 12, during the same hours.
All proceeds will benefit WakeUp Carolina, a Moncks Corner-based nonprofit that focuses on substance misuse prevention and recovery support for youth and families across the Lowcountry.

“We’re excited to bring our community together again—not just to celebrate incredible vehicles, but to support a cause that directly impacts families in our area,” said Cpl. Robert Hobart of the Moncks Corner Police Department.

Mayor Thomas Hamilton said the show is about more than showcasing cars.
“Our community thrives when we come together for a cause—and this car show is a perfect example,” Hamilton said. “It’s not just about horsepower and chrome; it’s about heart. Every dollar raised helps Wake Up Carolina, a local nonprofit, to continue their incredible work. I’m proud to support an event that brings people together and drives real change.”

Dean Stephens, director of development at Wake Up Carolina, said the community has embraced the nonprofit since it opened in Moncks Corner last year.
“Since the very first day Wake Up Carolina opened its doors in Moncks Corner in 2024, we have been embraced and supported by this incredible community,” Stephens said. “From events like the Moncks Corner Car, Truck, Jeep, and Motorcycle Show to our partnership with the Moncks Corner Police Department, your support has allowed us to expand programs and services that directly serve the Berkeley County community.”

This year’s show will include a variety of trophy categories, such as Best Classic Car, Best Muscle Car, Best Truck, Best Paint and Mayor’s Choice. Food trucks, raffles and family-friendly activities will round out the day.
