MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – The Moncks Corner Police Department will bring neighbors and law enforcement together for its annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Moncks Corner Recreation Complex Pavilion, located at 418 E. Main Street. National Night Out is part of a nationwide initiative aimed at building stronger police-community partnerships and promote neighborhood unity.

This year’s gathering will include meet-and-greets with Chief Lee Mixon, MCPD officers and staff, as well as music from a DJ, family-friendly games, food trucks and refreshments for purchase. Local businesses and organizations will also have booths on-site to share resources with the community.

Chief Mixon said the event highlights the department’s commitment to fostering trust and strengthening ties with residents.
“We are proud to host our third annual National Night Out as a celebration of the strong partnership we share with our community. This event gives us the opportunity to showcase our department, strengthen relationships, build trust, and continue working hand in hand with our residents to keep Moncks Corner safe,” he said.

Vendors, food trucks and community organizations interested in participating must register by Friday, Sept. 19.
