GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – A new fast-casual dining establishment celebrated its grand opening Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Goose Creek.

Mayor Pro Tem Jerry Tekac joined City Councilmember Gayla McSwain and city staff to celebrate the opening of popular burger chain, Five Guys, which is now serving customers at 2820 N. Main St. in Goose Creek, in the Carnes Crossroads area.

Five Guys is known for its made-to-order hamburgers, hot dogs and hand-cut fries, along with milkshakes that can be customized with a wide range of mix-ins. The restaurant operates in a fast-casual format, offering counter service with a focus on fresh ingredients and simple menus.

City officials welcomed the business as a new addition to the local dining scene, noting its arrival adds another option for residents and visitors along the busy North Main Street corridor.

The Goose Creek Five Guys, which began serving customers in mid-December, is open seven days a week, with hours from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday, and offers dine-in and takeout service.
