MONCKS CORNER, S.C. — The Moncks Corner Police Department and Moncks Corner Fire Department are urging residents to prepare for a potential winter weather event in the coming days, warning that hazardous travel conditions could develop if temperatures drop and ice forms.

In a statement released Thursday afternoon, police and fire officials said they are actively monitoring weather conditions and will provide periodic updates as the situation evolves.   • Highway 17A overpass near Carolina Avenue
  • Highway 52 bridge near Merrimack
