BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.—On Monday, Berkeley High School participated in “National Stomp Out Bullying Day” by wearing blue.
Students and faculty hope to send a message that their school is fully committed to “stomping” on bullying on their campus.
According to the Journal of American Medical Association approximately 30% of all children and youth in grades 6 through 10 have been bullied or have bullied other children within a semester.
In March, the Berkeley Co. School District launched an anonymous tip line to allow students and parents to report situations involving bullying and harassment.
The number is 1-855-OK-SAY-IT.
