
The special event included a formal unveiling of the new McElveen Business and Marketing Academy at Cane Bay High School.
McElveen is Berkeley County Schools’ first Platinum Level Sponsor.
According to school officials, they plan to donate more than $350,000 during the next three years in time, talent and support.

The company will provide subject matter experts to help bring real-world relevance to academic learning.
The partnership includes activities like co-teaching in the classroom, hosting students for job shadowing, and providing internships.
The Berkeley Co. School District and McElveen Buick-GMC are joining forces with educators at Cane Bay High School to ensure that academy students have the skills and education needed to meet the demands of today’s job market.
Career Academies at Berkeley County High Schools allow students to learn in a context that suits their career interests. High school students may attend academies focused on Fine Arts and Humanities; Business and Marketing; Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics; and Health, Human and Public Services.
