Cainhoy PTO supports breast cancer research with a special check

Cainhoy pink2HUGER, S.C.–On Friday, Cainhoy Elementary/Middle School PTO President, Chris Hazlett, presented a check to support breast cancer research to the Cainhoy Fire Departmentโ€™s Captain Bobby Wright in the schoolโ€™s multipurpose room.

Captain Wright promotes breast cancer awareness and collects funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Cainhoy Principal, Anthony Dixon said, โ€œI am happy to see that the children are taking this topic seriously and are raising breast cancer awareness in their communities.โ€

Many students have already purchased Cainhoy Elementary/Middle School Breast Cancer Cainhoy pinkAwareness t-shirts and wore them during the presentation.

Some of the areaโ€™s breast cancer warriors and survivors also joined the students and faculty for the special ceremony.

Cainhoy Elementary/Middle School is located at 2434 Cainhoy Road in Huger, SC.
