BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.—The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a murder that took place at a home on Judy Hill Drive in the Ladson area of Berkeley County.
The victim was reportedly shot to death.
According to Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury, deputies were called to the home around 7:30 p.m. after neighbors discovered a body inside.
Salisbury responded to the scene shortly after.
An investigation is ongoing by the coroner and sheriff’s office, Salisbury stated. Few details are being released about the case at this time–including if deputies have identified any suspects.
The coroner says an autopsy will be conducted today and more information later be released.
Salisbury added that once the next of kin is notified, the name of the victim will be released.
