DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C.–According to Dorchester Co. Deputies responded to a shooting at the Quick Food Mart inside a BP gas staion located along Highway 17A South near Dorchester Road.
Authorities say the shooting happened around 10 a.m. today.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found a young man dead from an apparent gunshot wound, officials stated.
This afternoon, Dorchester Co. Coroner Chris Nisbet identified the victim as 23-year-old Travis Aaron Gordon of Goose Creek.
Nisbet says an autopsy has been scheduled for Monday morning.
At this time, deputies have not released any information on a possible suspect and say the investigation remains ongoing.
