Berkeley Co. Coroner: Man Killed After Car Overturns, Hits Power Pole

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury, on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m., 27- year-old Lee Weaver of Moncks Corner was traveling on Old Whitesville Road when he ran off the right side of the roadway.

Salisbury says his sedan overturned, hit a power pole and ejected him from the sedan.

He was flown to MUSC where he was pronounced dead at 1:05 p.m.

The accident was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the S C Highway Patrol.
