64-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed While Crossing Street

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–On August 3rd at 6:19 a.m., 64-year-old Joe Travis Vickery of Summerville was crossing North Main Street at Old Summerville Road when he was struck by a sedan, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.

The coroner stated that Vickery was pronounced dead on the scene.

The death has been ruled accidental and was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
