WHO & WHAT: Berkeley County School District, with the Exchange Club of Cane Bay, will host the free Teen Summer Job Expo and job fair for Berkeley County students.
WHEN & WHERE: The Teen Summer Job Expo will be on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Cane Bay High School (1624 State Road, Summerville) from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.
MORE INFORMATION: The Job Expo is geared towards teens who are seeking summer, part-time or entry-level employment and the objective is to train youth within Berkeley County, ensuring they have the skills to secure the jobs of their choice. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops including, but not limited to: Essential Interviewing Skills and Networking; Professional Work Ethics; Public Speaking and Emotional Intelligence; Professional Conduct; Interviewing; Resume Writing; Customer Service; Hot Technology Jobs; Leadership; How to get a Tech. Internship.
Not only is the Expo a great way for Berkeley County students to learn what it takes to obtain a summer, part-time or entry-level job, it also is an opportunity to interact with local hiring managers. Local businesses will be able to help train students for success and potentially get a head start on hiring for the summer.
