MONCKS CORNER, SC – Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler delivered his first State of Berkeley County address Monday.
The 2016 State of Berkeley County address, which Peagler calls his “Promises Made, Promises Kept” address, highlighted a number of successes for the county in the past year including: the economic development success of Volvo Cars selecting Berkeley County as home to its first North American manufacturing facility and the addition of patrol Sheriff deputies and EMS technicians for the first time in seven years.
In the address, Peagler said he can summarize the state of the county in one word: “growth.”
He highlighted Berkeley County’s ranking as the fastest growing county in the state and the 40th fastest growing county in the nation and called Berkeley County “a place that businesses and families truly desire to be.”
