โWe are delighted to be working with Berkeley County, the State of South Carolina and the South Carolina Ports Authority to recruit jobs and investment to this region,โ said Alan Lewis, Industrial Development Partner of The Keith Corporation. โWith the new Sheep Island Interchange under construction and the imminent completion of the Panama Canal expansion project, we feel the timing for the development ofย Charleston Trade Center is excellent.โ
The 307,000 square foot shell building at the Charleston Trade Center in Summerville will offer a graded pad to allow expansion to nearly 923,000 square feet, cross-dock design, ESFR fire protection, 36โ minimum clear height, and 50โ x 54โ bay spacing with two 60โ deep speed bays along the dock walls.
โThe investment of the Keith Corporation and Singerman Real Estate is further proof that Berkeley County is open for business and Berkeley County means business,โ said Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler. โThe County looks forward to Tuesdayโs ground breaking and welcomingย the new additional investment and jobs it will bring in the very near future.โ
The shell building is expected to be completed by December 31, 2016.
