Timberland High Senior Killed in Crash Days Before Graduation

BONNEAU, S.C.–According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, on May 5 at 4:30 p.m. two vehicles collided on Black Oak Road in Bonneau.

Entrapped in one of the vehicles was 18-year-old Katelyn Moore of Bonneau, Salisbury stated.

She was extricated by the local fire department and transported to a local emergency room and was pronounced dead at 5:53 p.m.

Moore was a senior at Timberland High School and would have graduated in several weeks.

Her death has been ruled accidental and was investigated by the Berkeley County Coronerโ€™s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The coroner added that this is the 15th traffic fatality in Berkeley County this year.
