Moncks Corner Man Killed On Black Tom Road In Traffic Accident

MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–A Moncks Corner man has died following a traffic accident on Black Tom Road on Friday evening.

According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, around 5:15 p.m. James Lanier, 57, of Moncks Corner was traveling on Black Tom Road near S Live Oak Drive when his pickup truck ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The death is under investigation by the Coroner ‘s Office and the SC Highway Patrol.

Salisbury stated that he was wearing a seatbelt.
