Moncks Corner Man Killed In Fatal Crash On Ravenel Bridge

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A Moncks Corner man has died following a fatal crash on the Ravenel Bridge.

Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal has identified the victim as 73-year-old Henry Herring.

O’Neal said Herring died at the Medical University of South Carolina on Tuesday at 12:47 a.m. due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision that took place Monday on the Ravenel Bridge.

According to the Charleston Police Department, Herring was driving a Toyota SUV when his vehicle drifted across lanes, struck a concrete divider and hit a Dodge SUV.

Two people in the second vehicle sustained minor injuries.
