BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A driver has died following an early morning crash Saturday on College Park Road.
According to Trooper Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 1:10 a.m. on College Park Road near Red Oak Circle.
Pye said the driver was traveling west in a 2017 Dodge pickup on College Park Road when they ran off the right side of the road, struck a fence, a building and a tree.
The driver was transported to Trident Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Codrick Bass, 22, of Summerville.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
