Motorcyclist Dies After Striking Telephone Pole On College Park Road

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A motorcyclist has died after striking a telephone pole over the weekend, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash happened Sunday shortly after 7:30 p.m. on College Park Road about four miles from Summerville.

Master Trooper Brandon J. Bolt said a motorcyclist was driving east on College Park Road on a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveled off the right side of the road, struck a curve and then telephone pole.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has not released the name of the deceased motorcyclist.

The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
