BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County detectives are investigating a shooting that has left one man dead. The shooting occurred on Earthas Way, in the Ridgeville area of Berkeley County, according to the sheriff’s office.
On Tuesday, just after 6:30 PM, Berkeley County dispatch received a 911 call in reference to multiple callers hearing gunfire in the surrounding area. While deputies were en route to the location, dispatch received another call in regards to a man who was shot.
Deputies arrived on the scene and located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Berkeley County EMS.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this shooting as a homicide. Anyone with information
