BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – One person has died following a fatal motorcycle crash over the weekend in the Summerville area.
According to Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell, on Sunday around 10:35 p.m., his office was notified of a traffic fatality on College Park Road.
The coroner said a motorcycle was traveling east and went off the right side of the roadway, hit a ditch and then crashed into a residential home.
The victim, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, was ejected and was pronounced deceased on the scene, Hartwell said. She’s been identified as Tiffany Carpenter, 44, from Moncks Corner.
The Berkeley County Sherriff’s Office, Pineridge Fire Department and Berkeley County EMS responded to the incident.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
